Meet Suzette

Meet Suzette. Suzette Ramirez is an Intern here at LIV, working on her Master’s in Social Work. But, she is also the Case Manager heading up our Chronic Care Management program in collaboration with our medical team. Suzette’s experience in Social Work ranges from working with at-risk youth, indigenous and immigrant communities, providing job training services to young adults and adults in substance abuse treatment, and providing case management services to people with severe mental illnesses.
Q: What is Case Management to you?
S: Case Management is helping someone find and get all the resources and services they can benefit from.
Q: What is your favorite family recipes? Will you share it?
S: Too many to choose just one- I love all Mexican food! One of my favorite dishes is green spaghetti. The spaghetti sauce is made out of Chile Poblanos, cream cheese, and butter.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
S: I love to hike when there is good weather, read, watch crime documentaries, and exercise. I love to travel-hoping to be able to travel safely soon!
Q: Favorite thing to do for self-care?
S: Same as the above- finding some spare time to do the things I enjoy is important!
Q: What is LIV to you?
S: LIV is a great organization that really cares for the people in the community it serves. It amazes me how LIV continues to grow and look for all the ways it can provide the best services for the people it serves.
Q: Can you tell us more about LIV’s new Chronic Care Management program?
S: Of course- This program is great for people that are struggling with two or more chronic illnesses. Signing up for this service means a care coordinator can help you meet your goals around your health so that you can live the best quality of life you can. Care coordinators will support you in any way they can so that you continue to take care of yourself.
