Q: How would you describe yourself as a therapist?
E: I see My role as a therapist as someone who supports the patient where they are, providing validation, and building a strong foundation and alliance. I see myself as a therapist who focuses on reducing stigma, increasing personal growth, promoting emotional flexibility, and self-compassion.
Q: What is Case Management to you?
E: Case Management at LIV is a complete wrap-around service. The case managers at LIV are exceptional at evaluating and supporting patients’ needs through a variety of services and community partners. Case Managers also do an amazing job validating patients through empathy and compassion.
Q: What is your favorite family recipe? Will you share it?
E: My family recipe is knephla soup. It is really pure comfort in a bowl, especially on a chilly day. The soup is made of knephla and potatoes in a cream sauce with veggies. The only thing I will disclose is my family adds chicken to the soup.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
E: My favorite thing to do in my spare time is time with my family and all things outdoors including camping, hiking, boating, and running.
Q: What is LIV to you?
E: LIV to me is complete compassion. A phrase that is used often is ‘always do the right thing for the patient’. That is LIV!
Q: Favorite thing to do for self-care?
My favorite thing to do for self-care is being in the present moment, listening to the bird’s chirping, smelling the fresh air, feeling my feet on the ground, stretching my arms to the sky, and laughing.
