Q: How would you describe yourself as a therapist?
D; I am strengths-based, client-led, and compassion-oriented. By focusing on where your client is at, meeting them there, and seeing where they are wanting to go, you can see your client accomplish a lot.
Q: What is Case Management to you?
D: Case Management to me is helping people help themselves. There are systemic challenges in place, as well as our own selves, that can get in the way of us accessing resources that are there to help us meet our needs. Case Management allows us to see these barriers, address them, and help people take care.
Q: What is your favorite family recipe? Will you share?
K: My mom’s meatloaf is my favorite (Thank you, Betty Crocker)! I make it often because it is so easy and the leftovers are even better.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
D: I love to go camping by the water.
Q: What is LIV to you?
D: LIV is hoping that my loved ones will be able to receive care when they need it. LIV is a service that every community should have access to. It is an opportunity for families to care for one another with the support they need to be successful.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do for self-care?
D: I love sitting with my husband, dogs, and a good book.
