2020…What A Year!

2020…What a year! It has been tough, and stressful, full of disappointment and change. But, 2020 has also been a year to reflect, to slow down, and to find the small joys in life.

Thank you. We are so grateful for you!
To our patients who have stuck with us, and navigated this year and our telehealth platforms right along with us, we appreciate your patience and your understanding! To our referral sources and community partners who have worked tirelessly this year putting themselves and their families in danger, by working on the front lines, by helping our communities, and by putting others before themselves. Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough!

We are so proud of the work our team puts in every year, but especially this year!
We have been able to expand our team and our services with the addition of our medical team: Medical Director, Dr. Kristina Stefka, Nurse Practitioner, Julie Hummer-Bellmyer, and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Hanna Powers. With the addition of medical services, we were able to provide flu shots this year, as well as medication management, psychiatric medication evaluation, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s assessments, chronic care management, and more!
We have also been able to add to our therapy, case management, and admin teams! We added 3 new Psychologists this year, Dr. Ainara Echanove who is also the Regional Manager for our Cheyenne and Northern Colorado Teams. Dr. Robin Barry joined our Cheyenne team, and Dr. Tasha Trujillo joined our Northern Colorado team! We added 2 new Therapists, Erin Morgan, and Heather Madrid who have both joined our Cheyenne team. Our Case Management team grew by 4! Sheridan Roling, who joined our Laramie team, Andrew Tarrell, Justine Whitacre, and Michael Alles all joined our Cheyenne Case Management team. We also have Suzette Ramirez who is our MSW Intern and has taken on a Case Management role for our new Chronic Care Management program! And, last but certainly not least we added one member to our Admin team, Syndi Harris, who has joined us as our Administrative Assistant!

We’re not sure anyone would have guessed that we would have seen a pandemic in our lifetime.
We are happy to report we are surviving, and we are so grateful for that. We have been able to continue to provide the same great counseling, case management, and now medical services through our telehealth platforms, and while we had these systems in place previous to the pandemic we have all learned to become more comfortable using these platforms. We are so thankful for our patients, who have weathered the transition pretty seamlessly! We can’t wait to be able to see people in their homes again, but we are doing our best to keep our patients and our staff safe during this unprecedented time, and so far so good!

We have been able to expand LIV More’s team, and services.
We hired our new Care Coordinator, Wenda, this year, as well as added a new caregiver to the team, which brings our LIV More team to 2! LIV More’s services are now available in Laramie as well as Cheyenne.

We are so pleased to announce that we have added 2 new programs to our list of services.
Chronic Care Management and Behavioral Health Integration. This will be a collaboration between our medical and case management teams and is available to those who have chronic health conditions. We will be sharing more info, but if you’re interested in learning more, click here, or reach out to us by calling 307.630.4729 if you are in Wyoming or 970.888.4070 if you are in Colorado. You can also send an email to info@livhealth.org.

This year we are offering a free support group specifically for healthcare workers.
This group is meant to be a safe place to share and connect with people who are navigating the pandemic, the unknowns, being alone for the holidays, and more. These groups will be offered through the month of December and more to come in January!

We have a YouTube channel!
We started this channel to have a place to keep all of the fun stuff our team has created! You can find, meditation and mindfulness exercises, yoga videos, and our commercials! Speaking of commercials… this year we created our very first commercial! Check it out!

Last, by certainly not least, we were awarded a grant from the Wyoming Department of Health for the second year in a row!
The United in the Fight grant is available to any Wyoming Resident with any type of cancer. This grant provides patient navigation and case management support to anyone impacted by cancer. All services are provided at no cost to that patient.
2021 is on the horizon, and we can’t help but think it has to be better…right? To those of you reading this, thank you. Thank you for being a part of our story, for supporting us whether it be through social media, by sending referrals, or by using our services. We love what we do, and we can’t wait to see what 2021 has in store!
